Installation made for the FW 26/27 presentation of clothing brand Façon Jacmin for Antwerp Fashion. Festival 2026.
“An afterimage is the visual trace left behind after prolonged exposure to an image, the starting point of this collaboration.
Inspired by the first impressions of the collection, Nel Maertens developed a spatial installation built from pigment and texture.
The work reflects FAÇON JACMIN’s universe of illusion, layering, trompe-l’oeil, and transformation, where elements appear, disappear, and re-emerge in altered forms.”
On June 5, the installation also featured a live performance by Grace and Georgia Lyell.
